Baton Vape Overview
Baton Vapor is one of the most popular vape brands in the United States. They pride itself as a brand with products all entirely manufactured in the United States. As a brand, Baton Vapor hopes to become a great tobacco alternative and eliminate big tobacco companies.
Its founder and CEO, Thomas Vo, advocates tobacco smokers from discontinuing their unhealthy obsession and instead turn to safer alternatives, such as vaping. Vo saw how his father struggled with his tobacco, and has since then vowed to help smokers halt their addiction to tobacco.
Baton was co-founded by Thomas Vo and Gabriel Laurant, Vo’s friend and now the Vice President of Sales in Baton.
Baton Vapor was founded in 2014 by Thomas Vo and Gabriel Laurant, initially starting out as Vertigo Vapor, Inc in Bellevue, Washington. As Vertigo Vapor, Inc., they were an e-liquid manufacturer and distributor focused on the greater Seattle area.
In 2016, Vo and Laurant established the Baton brand, while keeping Vertigo Vapor. Under the Baton brand, there were two branches: Baton Vapor, which focused on making vape products as tobacco product alternatives, and Baton CBD, which focused on cannabis products. Baton CBD was notable for its CBD chewables which came in three different flavors.
In 2019, a respiratory illness then-called Vaping Associated Lung Injury induced mass hysteria, to the point that multiple states in the US would impose regulations, bans, and taxes on vape products. Although it was later proved that this illness was caused by vitamin E acetate, an ingredient found in illegal THC concentrates, not from vaping products, the state of Washington imposed a floor tax, so Baton Headquarters moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where it is currently operating.
In 2021, Baton CBD’s website quietly went down, presumably after Baton Vapor announced the release of non-tobacco nicotine (NTN) and the planned phasing out of all traditional tobacco salt products on November 2021.
Vo has personally seen the struggles of a smoking addict: he saw his father try to overcome his addiction to tobacco when he was still a child. After understanding the difficulty of stopping smoking, he vowed to help many other adults trying to halt their unhealthy obsession.
As part of this promise, Baton Vapor maintains no social media presence. They try to avoid marketing channels that are not strictly age-regulated, and commit to only marketing and selling their products to adults.
Other mechanisms that Baton Vapor has in place to prevent its products from going into the hands of minors are e-commerce age verification and maintaining adult-oriented symbolisms on their product designs.
In 2021, Baton Vapor announced that through modern technology, they are now capable of extracting nicotine from non-tobacco organic products, such as green peppers, tomatoes, and eggplants. Additionally, they are also able to artificially produce synthetic nicotine, thus stopping the reliance on tobacco for extracting nicotine.
Called Non-Tobacco Nicotine or NTN, Baton Vapor announced that they are phasing out all their traditional nicotine salts on November 2021 in favor of replacing their entire lineup with NTN products. As of 2023, they only have four refillables marked as NTN, but their entire BatonGO lineup is listed as Tobacco-Free.

Baton Vape Price and Series
Baton Vapor currently has three categories of products: refillables, disposables, and nicotine-free salts. The refillables are under the name Baton, while disposables are called BatonGO, and their nicotine-free products are simply referred to as Nicotine Free. All prices are taken from the Baton official site.
1. Baton V2 Price & Details ($9.99 – $29.99)
- Baton V2 Starter Kit – $29.99
- Baton Pod Pack – $9.99
- Baton Ceramic+ Pod Pack – $12.99
The Baton V2 refillable pod system succeeds their Baton Classic Device, released way back in 2017. Sleek and slim, the Baton V2 has a rubberized, matte finish that makes the device easy to grip and hold. The Baton V2 also uses an automatic draw system, compared to the fire button system on the Classic Device.
Its sleek design is paired with a silent operation, making it a perfect discreet device to bring around for day-to-day use or vacations. Plus, you have seven colors to choose from, with three neutral colors (white, silver, black) and four lively colors (gold, meteorite, aqua, violet).
The Baton V2 sports a lower battery than the Classic, from 500mAh to 350mAh, but many have found no issues finishing a pod from a single charge. The kit comes with a micro-USB charging cable that connects to a port on the bottom of the device. An LED, shaped like an arrow pointing upward, lights up depending on the battery charge every time you snap a pod.
Additionally, the LED lights every time you take a hit. Take one for five seconds or longer, and the LED turns on a party mode where it flashes several colors. This party mode can last for around 10 seconds before it stops.
The starter kit also includes a refillable pod with a 1.6-ohm resistance coil, which would make the pod last for quite a long time. The pod can hold around 0.9-1.2 mL of e-liquid, which you can comfortably finish on a single charge of the device.
Other than the device, pod, and cable, the starter kit also comes with a user manual to help you out when using the device.
Baton also sells pod packs, coming in pairs. Aside from the standard pod, they also have a Ceramic+ variety, which uses a ceramic coil with a 2.3-ohm resistance coil and organic Japanese cotton.
Baton recommends that you use their pods for 5-7 refills before you dispose of them and use a new one. This recommendation largely applies to their e-liquids. If you use other e-liquids that have higher concentrations of sugar, the number of refills their pods can handle may decrease.
2. BatonGO Price & Details ($12.99 – $70.00)
- Iced Watermelon Limeade – $12.99
- Island Mango – $12.99
- Southern Leaf – $12.99
- Glacier Mint – $12.99
- Aloe Grape Freeze – $12.99
- Blue Raspberry – $12.99
- Pineapple Freeze – $12.99
- Variety Pack – $70.00
Baton’s disposable vapes are called BatonGO, and there are seven flavors to choose from, all similarly priced at $12.99. Each disposable vape contains 7 mL of 5% nicotine e-liquid that lasts for around 3,500 puffs and a mesh coil.
Aside from being disposable, all BatonGO flavors are similar to their refillable equivalents. A distinct difference is that some flavors that are not indicated as tobacco-free refillables are instead noted as tobacco-free Baton Go flavors (e.g. Glacier Mint is offered as a tobacco-free flavor in BatonGO but not in their refillables).
If you are interested in trying out all flavors, Baton also sells the Variety Pack, which gives you the entire set of seven flavors at a discounted price.

As of 2023, Baton offers 15 flavors that you can use with their Baton V2 device. All of them are available in two nicotine concentrations, 2.5% or 5.0%. Each flavor is stored in a TPD-approved child-resistant bottle containing 10 mL of e-liquid.
The bottle is small enough, making it very convenient to bring around. The bottle also has a tip that makes it easy for users to fill their pods.
Four flavors, namely Aloe Grape Freeze, Blue Raspberry, Pineapple Freeze, and Iced Strawberry Kiwi, are made with NTN or non-tobacco nicotine, which is indicated in their boxes as “Tobacco-Free.” This means that these flavors were infused with nicotine that is not derived from tobacco: their innovative methods allow them to source nicotine from other plants like tomatoes and eggplants and even produce synthetic nicotine.
Baton’s nicotine salts are generally considered to be smooth and have a good hit to the throat. Their salts are considered to be very flavorful. As with any other nicotine salt e-liquids, Baton’s refillables can also be used with other low-power vaping devices.
Baton Nicotine-Free Salts ($8.99)
- Glacier Mint (Nicotine Free)
- Iced Watermelon Limeade (Nicotine Free)
- Southern Leaf (Nicotine Free)
As of 2023, Baton only has three nicotine-free flavors. As far as indicated on their website, the Nicotine Free flavors are similar to their nicotine-containing equivalents. Despite not having nicotine in these salts, they are still considered to be very flavorful, although they will not hit as hard as their nicotine equivalents. With that said, they are a great e-liquid for people who are trying to abstain from nicotine.
Baton Vape FAQ
Are Batons good vapes?
Batons are generally considered to be good vapes. The Baton V2 refillable pod system has a good build quality and the battery lasts more than long enough to finish a pod. The pod can hold around 0.9 to 1.2 mL of e-liquid, and the device uses an automatic draw system so that you can just need to take a hit to use it.
They have 15 flavors that you can choose from, with varying amounts of nicotine concentration. They also have non-tobacco nicotine products, which can help smokers from avoiding tobacco products while still getting their fix of nicotine.
If you are looking for disposable vapes, their BatonGO lineup will more than suffice for your needs. They have seven flavors to choose from, and each vape holds 7 mL or 3,500 puffs. If you want to try out all available flavors, the Variety Pack will get you all of them at a discounted price.
How much do Baton Vapes cost?
The Baton V2 starter kit, which includes the Baton V2, one pod, a micro-USB charging cable, and a user manual, will set you back $29.99. They also sell pod packs, which can be either $9.99 for the normal one or $12.99 for the ceramic version. As for their nicotine salts, each 10-mL bottle costs $8.99 at all nicotine concentrations.
Their disposable vapes cost $12.99, or if you want to get all seven flavors, the Variety Pack will set you back $70, which is around $20 less if you got all seven individually.
How long does a Baton vape last?
A full pod of the Baton V2 (around 0.9-1.2 mL) will give you around 100-300 puffs, and a full charge of the Baton will be more than enough to exhaust the entire pod.
On the other hand, all BatonGO disposable vapes will net you around 3,500 puffs, with a reservoir of 7 mL.
