Reasons why your ELFBAR won’t charge

If you have an ELFBAR vape, there are many possible reasons why it won’t charge.

Some of these have to do with user error – but, despite ELFBAR’s reputation as a producer of reliable vapes, it can also be due to a malfunction or a faulty device.

As a result, if your vape doesn’t charge, you need to work out why this is – since this will help you understand if it’s going to be possible to rectify the problem.

So let’s look at some of the most common issues now.

1. It’s not a rechargeable model

When your vape stops working, the first thing you need to do is work out whether it’s a rechargeable model or a single-charge device.

• You dropped it

If you drop your vape or it otherwise receives a heavy knock, this may cause it to stop working. This may mean it won’t charge correctly, or it might not function correctly after charging.

If you know you dropped your vape, this is the most likely cause, in which case, you should just plan on buying a new one.

• You got it wet

Similarly, if your vape gets wet, this may cause it to stop charging or functioning correctly.

Again, if you know it got wet – for example, you dropped it in water or it was in your pocket when you got caught outside in the rain – you probably don’t need to look any further for the cause of the issue and should just discard it and purchase a new one.

4. It’s too cold

A slightly different problem you might encounter occurs when your vape is too cold – something you might be familiar with if you’ve ever tried to use a smartphone or digital camera in especially low temperatures.

Essentially, when it’s too cold, a battery won’t work, so it doesn’t matter if you charge it up fully because it’s still not going to let you vape.

Fortunately, all you need to do to rectify this problem is warm your device up and it will start working normally again. Just don’t place it on a radiator or anything like that as the excessive heat may cause it to explode.

5. There’s a problem with your power source

Another common problem could be that there’s an issue with your charging equipment rather than with the vape itself.

• Cable

Check your power cable to make sure it isn’t broken or coming loose. You can always try switching to a different cable to test this.

• Adapter

Similarly, you might have an issue with your charging adapter. To check it, switch it to another one to see if that rectifies the problem.
